Fic: Escape

Title: Escape
Characters: Tenth Doctor, other character
Genre: episode-related, drabble
Length: 100 words
Rating: all ages
Spoilers: Spoilers for "Water of Mars"
Summary: Summarize a drabble that contains spoilers? Nope, can't do it.
Disclaimer: The sandbox belongs to RTD and the BBC. I'm just playing here, in the corner, making little sand-TARDISes. Not making any money, not asserting any claims.
A/N: Three fics posted in one night -- a new record! This one is off the cuff and completely unbetad. DO NOT READ if you haven't watched Waters of Mars. Really. I mean it.

You stumble onto an ordinary street, quiet and snow-covered -- so different from the fiery horror you left behind. It feels obscene to stand in this peaceful spot when your friends are...

God!
You back away from the man (Not a man, can't be! ) who brought you here. He's asking for thanks, like he'd given you a lift to the nearest petrol station. But behind that amiable smile is something ancient, inhuman, and drunk on power, that could crush you by accident (or by whim).

You flee into the night; not all the monsters were left behind on Mars.

Nice insight into Adelaide in that moment. *shudder*

Yep. Absolutely. *This.*

I was wondering about Mia too - what she and Yuri do next, faced with the knowledge of what they've seen. Nice drabble.

Yeah, that's about right. It wasn't just the trauma of the last few hours that had Mia running; he terrified her, and rightly so. There's nothing more frightening than someone who *knows* he's right and has the power to make the world over in his own image.

Apt. Nice point of view. You've managed thoughtful without becoming didactic, which is difficult, given the source material.
