A/N: I have often wondered if something like this didn't happen after the episode in question.  Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] wendymr  for Beta-reading.

Just this morning we were so happy.  We never expected... this.  Barbara shivered.  She didn't know where Ian was; most likely in a similar room: windowless, with a locked door.  He wouldn't be able to help her.

Don't be a silly goose, she told herself.  No one has harmed you.  Goodness knows you've been in far worse places.  Medieval dungeons.  Alien prisons.

The door creaked open.  The man who entered studied her in a way that suggested years of experience in dealing with prisoners.

"I am Detective Inspector Barrett.  I have some questions regarding the disappearance of Miss Susan Foreman."

Ya think? :-)

I spent a pleasant few minutes last night, coming up with tabloid headlines.

"'We were kidnapped by an alien,' runaway teachers claim."

"Missing teen is alive, teachers say -- 500 years in the future."

"Holidaymaker says she saw teachers in 'love nest' in Mallorca. Teen girl with them looked like Susan Foreman; never allowed to leave cottage."

"Shocking discovery: unidentified body found in Tiddleby Woods. Could this be Susan Foreman?"

etc.

And then there are the Lifetime movies... :) I was thinking them up around the time of Mykonos. One I loved (from [livejournal.com profile] mtemplar_fic was, "Back Off, Bitch! My husband's regenerating"
