Back from London

It was an utterly fantastic week, but I am glad to be back in my own house, and to cuddle my cats again.  I crammed as many sights as possible into seven days, and still didn't get to everything that interested me.  The good news is that I will be going back.  I got bumped from my originally scheduled return flight because of severe overbooking.  Virgin Atlantic put me up in a nice hotel overnight, gave me vouchers for three meals, and gave me a guaranteed seat on the following night's flight.  Also, they gave me a voucher good for a free round-trip ticket.  So, I'm thinking maybe next spring...

In addition to more traditional tourist attractions, I saw John Barrowman in La Cage Aux Folles -- twice.  It was wonderful, fantastic, incredible.  I know that "I am what I am" is his theme song, but I'd never heard him sing it before.  Wow.  The man sings with incredible passion and intensity.  I dropped by a music shop a few nights later and bought two of his CDs,  I also bought his new autobiography, which doesn't come out in the U.S. for another month.  I haven't read it yet, but I did read his first book, Anything Goes, on my Kindle during this trip.

Maybe on my next trip I'll plan to visit Cardiff as well...
