I'm going to read the second part straightaway, but this one absolutely breaks my heart. I feel so awful for Rose and Jack. The Doctor, I just want to hit. He may believe he's doing the right thing--he may be doing the right thing--but why can't he treat Jack as a friend instead of a combination science experiment and security-ward patient?
